This remodel of a small Kitchen (the main range/dishwasher area is 7' x 10') required special attention to space requirements and consideration of use patterns. The homeowner wanted a modest opening to the Dining Room that would not feel out of scale with the rest of the first floor. Archway and trim details echoing the early 1900's were borrowed from other parts of the home in an effort to integrate the remodeled space into the rest of the ground floor. Removing old resilient flooring revealed the original hardwood floor. All door and window trim was salvaged and installed again to finish the project.
